The sheep have been sheared. Kids are born (next door at the Morris Goat Plaza) and introducing “Sweet Pea”! We brought home a York/Hampshire cross gilt this weekend and she is (by far) the nicest and sweetest little pig we have purchased. She is enjoying the green grass and we will introduce her to the other three Duroc piglets in a day or two. The sheep are not too excited about losing their bedroom but are welcoming of another someone to the farm. The garden has had its first till. We are planning on doing heritage turkeys and some fryers this summer as well as our pigs. Hoping to get the meat growing season done before the really cold weather (and wind) comes back.
